IF YOU LOVE MAGIC...

Like inverted cards ,
there are many nights
in a rainy day.
If you love magic
never ask the magician
to reveal holy secrets!

Kudos to your writing skills!! A true fact that somethings are best if they are enjoyed rather than analyzed.

On my recent Kerala trip, travelling with me was a defence personnel, who was also a magician ..he showed many magic tricks..the smaller, what they call 'close up' numbers...

he's seen my interest and awe, despite by age and the seemingly 'educated' looks..so when all the fellow travellers got down he quickly came to me and showed the reality of the magic cards, with which he mersmerised us a while ago...

a few minutes after, i felt he shouldn't have done that!

Nice one!

wishes!!

MIP as we knew him is back!
I related it to this guy...who stuck up for his principles to such an extant that he had 2 suffer the consequences quite terribly...but he was a hero in all our eyes for having stuck up...and when I got to speak ti him and asked why he got into the mess in the 1st place, he just said 'some things are best left unsaid'. So he's still a hero. Of course the simple honest answer to my question would have been...I was young and got into dope, so I dint care for consequesnses etc etc...dat wud have ruined everything.
I wonder if this made any sense...but thats what your poem reminds me of.

Well, what if I am willing to learn the magic tricks for a fee? Then, I guess, the magician will oblige, right?
'there are many nights in a rainy day' - hmmm.. (scratching my head all over)

A favorite.

The last lines appeared as a rather snapping sorta retort from a magician whose act has been trivialized when the 'holy secret' was let out!
but ought not the so magic witnesser to whom the secret now lies revealed posess a right to feel cheated because he marvelled at something which was indeed that simple!
I think its just one side of story between two trivialized men-one after the other, i would love to hear the man who witnessed the magic answer to this!
May be i m just too extrapolative with your thought which beautifully compact and telling in itself, but i was just thinking!

well swetali,

look at the big picture. the poem is like a general idea, could be applied to so many things.

just read the poem again keeping in mind God as a magician, and it holds so true.
