CRIES AND WORDS

Cries from the wild
after becoming words,
are destined to search for
their own meaningful deaths
like innocent sniff dogs.

When stories of betrayal
make me cry loudly,
words remember their history
and start howling
along with me....

Shocked by innocence,
truth,
and betrayal...
memories of an innocent kid will haunt our nation.
It is one of the greatest tragedies of modern India..
his own values betrayed him...
we all failed to protect it..
sharing the grief of the families of all victims....

indeed so true... n what a way to put the feelings f torment, into stark poetry!!

n as de label rightly says , itz not a poem, its much above all that...the call, for restoration f humanity...

Choreographed words cannot convey the intense pain generated by death and violence...
But Cries are true...

CRIES and WORDS...it should be, I thought. thats the order in your poem too...

because cries, unheard cries, become words...to haunt us as the sniff dogs...

how can i love this poem..its too touchy..well said MIP!
getting back at mine by evening..

Hi MIP!

Let me clarify that first part of the comment.."It should be I thought' part...

I shouldn't have said that as a comment..I was clarifying myself, with it...but then being a bit too fast with things these days, failed to give it a second thought...

Its your right to play with the words you choose, and the order therein...please treat it just as an observaton..a novice's observation..

thank you for that!
see you soon, at mine

betryal.. cries.. sadness.. innocent.. death..

thats what the world has come to isnt it.. not many are actually bothered.. nor do they hear the plea.. life is such

aria said...

so very touching.. it speaks of our time and place with the poignancy, confronting us with the world that remains, is after all.. an era of collisions and eroding values.

AshenGlow said...

Even the pictoral depiction of the mishap was so daunting that i dint dare to watch it on the TV. Neither has anything remotely associated to conveying the pain anyway...
Only the words howl.. Only the cries haunt...

Torn,
Ashen

OOOOOOO..... (I am howling with you)!

@devika
it should be "cries and words"...definitely.
But actually as far as this post is concerned I posted it as "man out of the painting"..Thats why it was not so pleasant..
I don't like to blog "the real" here in this space..i am having my daily share of reality more than enough..Still I couldn't forget the real tragedy behind this post..
I will change the title in my next update...
A creation is always open to change..
Is there anything completely "mine"
Then the theme of this blog itself is invalid..
Man in Painting is an open space..
an invitation, and a possibility..
thank you...
take care..

I always protect me from exposure to violence..But it is there.in and out of me..
it is like keeping a viper inside my pocket and talking about eternal peace...
thank you for reading..

@aria
yes...it is..
We have created this world. Our education created us..and we continue the habits..will we be ever able to help ourselves out?

man in painting said...

Ashen..
me too..
first I decided not to blog for days..Can silence heal the wounds? Then I chased my own thoughts. The mental space that we keep because of our formal education saves us.."related" and "not related" are because of our education..After cleaning everything and when I looked at the incident without any history or theory or without using lens.. it just horrified me..
"what have we made of ourselves"...
words just failed..
and i resorted to the good old way of plain crying...
MIP

man in painting said...

@salil
so true..
i will remember it..
silence is the absence of sounds and thoughts..
One day we may forget everything..
Thank you for sharing my grief..
take care
MIP

Devika Jyothi said...

That is magnanimity MIP..
Poets and writers seldom are..

A blog as you say is a possibility and open space...only few realise that...

Thanks anyway, and on the correction -- I feel honoured, and obliged simultaneously...

thank you!
see you seeing the world more...

Saw ur blog today, I like evry element of it. i hv just 4 words 2 say--
"I am your fan"

Aah...instincts...emotions...small picture, they reign us today, instead of the converse...

Nice observation,
:)

How true , The worst part is we are so helpless that we have grown used to the heart wrenching cries , & its not heart wrenching anymore !!!

We really need to restore humanity , if we want humans to exist through a few more centuries!!. . .

Its such a tragic and well written poem ! . . .

man in painting said...

@art and poetry
yes...
that is true..may be "words remember their own past" or words remember their own childhood " is more true...

Cries are real, till they become words..
sounds when domesticted become words and sniff their "meaningful" deaths..
But at times they remember who they really are like the sniffdogs remembering their ancestry...
